What learners can do in the app
- Sign in with a 6-digit code sent to their email, with their password, or with Google or Apple when Google is turned on for your login page.
- Open courses, watch videos, read lessons and complete chapters. Videos can resume where the learner stopped.
- Take quizzes and submit assignments.
- See and open their certificates.
- See upcoming live sessions.
- Open the files of a digital product they own.
- Read their notifications.
Set up your app step by step
The Mobile App tab works when your plan includes a mobile app. Without one, the tab shows what the app offers and how to get it.
- Open Settings and click the Mobile App tab. It has four tabs inside: General, Branding, Student experience and Store listing.
- On General, type the App name shown under the icon on phones (up to 30 characters; your academy name is used when it is blank). Add the support email, phone and links learners see in the app. Links must start with https://.
- On Branding, the app uses your logo and brand colour. Add secondary, accent, background, surface and text colours if you want them. Any colour left on default uses the app's own, and a text colour that would be unreadable is replaced automatically.
- Still on Branding, design the splash screen: the background (brand colour, white, dark or a brand gradient), logo size and position, a loading animation (pulse, dots, shimmer or none) and an optional tagline of up to 40 characters.
- On Student experience, hide anything you do not want in the app: certificates, community, live sessions, webinars or digital products. This hides them in the app only; your website is unchanged.
- On Store listing, add the app icon, a splash image, 2 to 8 phone screenshots and the store descriptions.
- Watch the phone preview on the right, which shows the sign-in and home screens with your colours and logo, then click Save mobile app. It saves every tab at once.
Your brand, not ours
The app carries your academy's name, logo and colours. Learners see your academy, the same one they know from your website. Each app belongs to one academy and talks only to that academy's address, so a learner of another academy cannot sign in to yours.
What changes when
- Brand colour, logo or other colours
- The app picks it up within a few minutes
- Hiding or showing community, webinars or other features

- Support email, phone and links

Colours and switches are applied from your settings while the app runs. The name, icon and splash are built into the store version, so they change only when a new version is released.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
- Choosing colours with weak contrast. Amber notes warn you when text or buttons would be hard to read; take them seriously.
- Switching a feature off in Student experience and expecting your website to change. It only changes the app.
- Editing a tab and leaving without pressing Save mobile app.
- Expecting a name or icon change to appear in minutes. These change with the next store release.
Works on the web too
Everything also works in any phone or desktop browser, with nothing to install, so learners can choose. Many academies point learners to the website first and add the app as a convenience.
Who the app suits
An app helps most when learners come back often: a coaching institute with daily tests, a membership with new lessons every week, or a language or music course practised in short sessions. For a one-off ebook or a single recorded workshop, the website is usually enough.
Learners sign in with the account they already have in your academy, so there is nothing new to create. The 6-digit code option is especially friendly for learners you added yourself or imported in bulk, because they do not need to set a password first.
Rolling it out to your learners
- Finish the setup above and save, so the preview matches what you want learners to see.
- Make sure your courses are published and have lessons, because an empty app gives a poor first impression.
- Add your learners from the Users page, one by one or in bulk, if they are not already in your academy.
- Tell learners they can sign in with a code sent to their email, which avoids forgotten-password emails.
- Mention the website as well, so learners on a laptop or an unsupported device are not left out.
Checklist before you ask learners to install
- App name, support email and links checked on General.
- Logo and colours checked in the phone preview.
- Splash screen and tagline chosen.
- Features you do not use hidden on Student experience.
- Icon, splash image, screenshots and descriptions added on Store listing.
- Enough published courses so learners do not open an empty app.
